Elisavet Grigoriou received her B.Sc. in “Informatics” (2012) and her M.Sc in “Web Intelligence” (2015) from Alexander TEI of Thessaloniki, Greece. She was a member of the Computing Systems, Security and Networks (CSSN) Research Lab in Alexander TEI of Thessaloniki and her research mainly focuses on Wireless Communication Protocols (particularly in Long Term Evolution). Her Master Thesis was part of the “Smartworld” project in CTTC in Barcelona. After she finished her Master Degree, she was working as “Internet-of-Things” Engineer in “MyCompany Projects” Company (Thessaloniki, Greece). Her first project was “FarmCanal” and the second project was based on Ambient Assisted Living technologies.
Elisavet Grigoriou has joined QoE-Net on November, 2015. She is a PhD student in University of Cagliari (Faculty of Engineering) under the supervision of Prof.Luigi Atzori and Prof.Virginia Pilloni since October 2016. Her topic in QoE-Net project is “Quality of Experience management strategies for future smart networks”. She was Visiting Researcher in Deutsche Telekom (Berlin, Germany) for 4 months during her organized secondment working on network service provider perspective.
In Spring 2016, she was Teaching Assistant in the lab sessions for BSc and MSc students on the “Internet“ (CCNA Routing and Switching) course at the University of Cagliari.
In September 2016, she was Marie-Curie Ambassador in “Researcher`s Night” organized by University of Cagliari presenting the QoE-Net project and her experience during this project.
Her other major research interests include Quality of Experience, Software Defined Networks, Semantic Web and Internet-of-Things.
Moreover, she is reviewer in IEEE Communication Magazine and VTC2017.
